Editing
Editing
Editing is an essential step in the process of preparing a manuscript for publication. Editing entails reading a manuscript closely to identify and correct mistakes, inconsistencies, and needless repetition. As your editor, I will give clarity to your words and make your work concise.
An editor brings a fresh set of eyes to your manuscript and is interested in producing a product you will be proud of. An editor is your writing confidant, sounding board, and cheerleader. Allowing someone else to critically read your work is the most important step you can take before publishing.

Proofreading
Proofreading is the last step before publication. The importance of this last step cannot be stressed enough. Editing and proofreading are two separate forms of editing. Editing takes place once the manuscript is completed, and proofreading takes place just before publication. Typically, the manuscript has already been typeset before it is proofread.
Free Sample Edit
I am always happy to provide a free sample edit, so you can see how I would edit or proofread your manuscript. Please submit the first five pages of your manuscript. The turnaround time is typically 48 hours.
